Leonard John Paterson

Len Paterson, who died suddenly aged 74, served as Chairman of the British Tugowners Association from 1986 to 1988.

He also held a position on the Clyde Shipping Board. He was a well known businessman in Glasgow and beyond. He attended "The Tech" - now the University of Strathclyde - and the University of Glasgow, gaining a degree in metallurgy.

Len leaves behind a widow, along with children and grandchildren.
